In the app
- Open StepsMaxxing and go to the You tab.
- Tap Privacy.
- Tap Delete account. You can download a copy of your data first if you'd like.
- Confirm. That's it.
Never signed in? Then nothing is stored on our servers. Your steps and profile live only on your phone, and deleting the app removes them.
What gets deleted
- Your profile: display name, @username, nickname, photo and goal.
- Your step history and walking distance.
- Your friends, group memberships, challenges, cheers and posts.
- Your link to any company and its HR lists.
- Your sign-in connection with Apple or Google.
When
- Deletion from our live systems is immediate.
- Copies in our backups are purged within 30 days.
What we keep
So your teammates' results don't change, a workplace team keeps one anonymous contribution from you, for example "A former member: 42,100 steps". It has no name, photo or daily data attached and can't be linked back to you.
Don't have the app any more?
Email hello@stepsmaxxing.com from the email address linked to your StepsMaxxing account (your Apple or Google sign-in email, or your work email), with the subject "Delete my account". Include your @username if you remember it.
We may ask a simple question to confirm the account is yours, then delete it within [NUMBER] days and email you when it's done. The same 30-day backup purge applies.
If you used Apple's "Hide my email", look for the relay address in your Apple ID settings under Sign in with Apple, or tell us the @username and we'll help.
